some pictures from the last week shooting at kaunertal glacier. Was damn freaking cold, but a lot of fun. We just had 1,5h sun at the kicker spot, getting up by a skidoo is way easier. good times. no its christmas time and then heading to helsinki. so much snow up there.

Bereits in den 70er Jahren besang Bob Dorough in seinem Kinderlied die magische Zahl drei. Schon seit jeher gilt diese erste ungerade Primzahl in der Mythologie und Religion als göttliche bzw. heilige Zahl. Der Jahres- und Lebenszyklus wurde in vielen Kulturen als Dreiheit gesehen. Es benötigt drei Beine dass ein Stuhl oder Tisch stehen kann und drei Mitglieder um sich eine Familie zu nennen. Das dritte Album entscheidet oft über Durchbruch oder Fall einer Band. Der Dritte freut sich wenn sich zwei streiten und so gut wie jeder Mann (vielleicht auch Frau) träumt von einem Dreier. Ihr dürft nun dreimal raten wohin das führen soll ... genau, La Famiglia veröffentlicht diesen Winter ihr drittes Werk „Never Get Older“! In Innsbruck gibts die erste Chance den Film zu sehen..

Summer, Surf & Crime

5 Wochen Portugal Surftrip. Hört sich spannend an und das war es auch. Nachdem wir die gesamte Küste in 3 Wochen nach den besten Surfspots abgegrast hatten, ging es für ein paar Tage nach Lissabon. Kultur und Nachtleben können auch nicht schaden. Auto auf einem öffentlichen Parkplatz abgestellt, dem "Parkwächter" noch 2€ in die Hand gedrückt und ab die Stadt erkunden.
Die Nacht im Bairro Alto war wild und lange und am nächsten Tag direkt ans Auto und gecheckt; alles bestens. Wieder zurück in die Stadt und Kater bekämpfen. Das gleiche am Nachmittag, wieder Auto checken, nichts bestens...Scheibe eingeschlagen. Bis auf das Lenkrad,Reifen und Co. war alles weg. Surfboards,Skateboards, Wetsuits und alle Klamotten der Mädels, meine stanken wahrscheinlich zu sehr nach verschwitzem Käsefuß, oder was anderem abstoßendem.

In Lissabon dann einen kooperativen Polizisten zu finden ist fast ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit. Die haben viel zu tun dort unten, da fängt die Siesta früh an und endet spät. Naja schlussendlich haben wir eine Diebstahlmeldung bekommen, die sich später als unsere Glücksfee heraus stellte. Facebook, bei aller Kritik, kann schon sehr hilfreich sein. Ein portugisischer Freund antwortet sofort auf unsere News: "go to feira da ladra and buy your stuff back. no joke". Wir also wieder für ein paar Tage zurück nach Ericeira und am folgenden Samstag auf den besagten Markt. Das ganze Ding nach unserem Stuff abgesucht. NIchts gefunden. Kurz vor Schluss hockten da ein paar Dudes mit 40 Handy's und 5 Laptop's und verchecken das frisch gezockte Zeugs.

Als wir schon auf dem Rückweg waren, erkennt meine Freundin ihren Wetsuit an einem Stand wieder. Ein paar Jungs und die dicke Mutti, die alle unter ihrer Fuchtel hatte und als einzige Englisch spricht, erklärt mir, dass sie auch noch zwei Surfboards hätte. Wunderbar! Wir die Bullen geholt, die eh um die Ecke standen und nur darauf warteten, dass Touristen ankommen, um ihr frisch gestohlenes Zeug wieder zu kriegen. Und siehe da, 10min später kommt der eine Dude mit unseren Surfboards im Kofferraum. Da kommst dir vor wie im falschen Film... Im Endeffekt haben wir das wichtigste für einen Surftrip wieder bekommen. Und eine ordentliche Lehre dazu.

Lissabon und Portugal ist trotz allem wunderschön! Auslandssemester wird dort gemacht.

salute,
just some weeks ago after a long periode of rain and snow we went to hintertux for one day riding that smooth park up there. aron didn´t get the right speed and cracked his board quite fast, so he was the smoking assistent of freddy behind the cam.. weird nice day.

after riding we went to hanne´s street art party at tivoli roundabout, was fun there

we gonna go to val senales and later to zermatt in july, seems to be really nice there as well.


right now summer is back as never before and assessment time at university...

ROOF DINNER

the last three weeks have been so depressing.lots of rain, clouds and freezin cold temperatures. might that be a never ending story.. no, good weather came back, just for couple days though but it was so cool. swimming, lots of sports and dinner at our roof.so sick. we have to do that again. and now it´s cold again.......

Saas Fee April/May Powderaction

Saas Fee was deffinatly the sickest place in europe in the end of the season.
With tones of powder comming down in the end of april we got plenty of possibilitys to build and shot.
Friedl and me shot the first week with our filmer taupi.
We had to fight with bad weather the first days but then it cleared the shit out of it and we got some nice days with fresh pow.
After Friedl and Taupi left I joined the crew of Fredi Kalbermatten , Aaron Hooper, Wyatt Stasinos and Doran Layborn.
We pretty much got out of bed every day around 5.30 in the morning and spending every day up there to build booters and to ride all kinds of glacierdrops and natural stuff.
Bad weather was allways a daily factor but with fredi`s eye for the mountain we managed to shoot in pretty much every weather conditions.
The boys from colorado around wyatt and doran where allways super on fire and showed big balls on everything we`ve been hitting and fredi landed pretty much every trick he pulled out.
Until a couple of days ago we still went up everyday and there is lots off pow on top of saas fee.
Thanks to Aaaron Hooper and all the guys for working so hard everyday to get good shots.
It`s been such a fun time with hell crazy partys and so much progressive riding.
Winter is never over :) ...in and out !!!!
